I picked this paper for my summer field assistant to read (she asked!), and I decided to read it as well so I could (a) answer her questions about it, and (b) maybe learn something new about QTL analysis. Unfortunately, it's pretty basic, but I'd recommend it if you want to get a simple non-statistical background on QTL analyses. Plus, it's short.
