"Usually, plant vigor is used as an indicator for an invasive plant's competitive ability in the introduced range, but if there is indeed greater glucosinolate [qualitative defense against generalist herbivores] production in the introduced range, this could also coincide with greater competitive ability."
Out of the frying pan of native specialists and into the fire of generalists from the new habitat results in a reversal of EICA (evolution of increased competitive ability) expectations! Oh nos, peppergrass!
